EXCELLENTTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a January wedding here and had a lot of positive experiences, but also some negatives on the day. For reference, we are an interracial couple having a non-traditional wedding as a lot of our friends are LGBTQIA+ and knew the risks having a wedding in Callahan..but it’s 2026 you know? Anywho, The space is beautiful and includes a lot for what you’re paying for! Offered flexibility in paying, providing a list of vendors to use to make our lives easier, tipping etiquette, bar checklist, overall checklist of what the venue is providing and what the couple is providing so nothing is forgotten, and overall communication is great. And everything was great going into the final meeting. But the last month and day of is when everything started going downhill. During our tour, my now husband and I remembered that there was an option that if final numbers came in less than what we paid for, that if there was a difference in cost, that the remaining could be allocated to adding extras or food upgrades. The day came and we came in 25ish short and were told that we can’t do that. No explanation other than “that’s not how it’s done”. I wasn’t too upset, it is what it is. We didn’t want to provide food during cocktail hour because 1 we didn’t budget for it, and 2, we knew we had a lot more food than people so we didn’t want a ton of leftovers. But we ultimately felt pressured to do it by the venue. Again, it is what it is. Prior to leaving the final meeting having a conversation with the owner having told the most important detail of the wedding we didn’t want messed up. I lost my dad as a child and my dream was to have a slideshow playing with him as I danced with my sister and mom during the father/daughter dance and it was stated and in writing that they would have the projector screen down so we could set up everything else to have it play. The day comes…screen is not down and I was asked if I would be ok if it didn’t happen 🙃 lol of course not. Thankfully our coordinator, groomsmen, their wives, and security guard made sure it happened after they asked the staff to get the screen down and it went as I always dreamed of. The photo booth (Chic Photobooth or whatever) we added through the venue either ran out of printer paper or the printer stopped working during our event and we as the couple along with most of our guests couldn’t get printouts of the photos which was the whole idea behind our Photobooth guest book so that was a bust. And finally, the bartenders provided through the venue didn’t treat our bridal party equally. For reference, I had a man of honor, a bridesman, and 2 bridesmaids who each had the same reusable cups for the night. My bridesmaids were able to be served using their cups yet when my man of honor and bridesman went up, they said they couldn’t do it. Even though they witnessed it first hand when they served my bridesmaids before them ordering the same drink. Thankfully a lot of this stuff is minor and was handled without it being brought to my attention day of. But a lot of it is also avoidable when you work with a couple for over a year, know what you’re going into, planning meticulously, and pay a lot of money at an inclusive venue. Sometimes it felt like our wedding didn’t matter as much since we weren’t spending a lot of money on extras or how we were overall planning our wedding. I also don’t remember ever seeing Amy and don’t recall her saying she wouldn’t pop in to at least say congrats. I don’t regret getting married here, it was the best day of my life! They have done a lot of updates going into our wedding day and made it even more beautiful than it was when we toured and added more packages into their pricing to make it even more inclusive. It just wasn’t in our budget or wants when the option was sent to us a month before our wedding. Overall, I recommend this venue, but also be very mindful on inclusiveness for you and your guests and stand your ground with your overall vision. And make sure the extra Photo Booth has back ups so they can give you physical photos since it’s an extra cost 🙂Posted on GoogleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic wedding day here! The staff was incredible. Bride wanted outdoor wedding on a day with 100% rain. The staff set everything up in the rain and did everything humanly possible to make it work. We still ended up doing it indoors because it was pouring outside but it was beautiful. We were able to get outdoor pics with everyone later in the evening when the rain quit. Thank you guys so much! All of our guests were surprised at how well everything looked. Plantation Oaks was the perfect place to have our wedding! Their all-inclusive package was incredible and definitely helped take away some stress because I didn’t have to worry about decorating myself or finding my own caterer. The place itself is gorgeous and they are pros at what they do. The property itself is absolutely beautiful and creates the perfect atmosphere for any special event. The owner is amazing to work with—so kind, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making sure everything goes smoothly. You can really tell she cares about every detail and about the people hosting their events there. The staff is top notch. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. Bellemont Estate venue and property is so well kept and absolutely beautiful! Everything from the touring, booking, planning, execution, etc. was so seamless and stress free. Amy was wonderful to work with and answered any and every question we had. The staff were very kind and made sure our event went smoothly and also ensured we did not have to do anything so we could enjoy ourselves. Princess Amelia Chapter, Colonial Dames 17th Century was delighted to have our yearly luncheon here. The property is beautiful with many animals to make it an authentic country charm. She showed us all her critters. Amy met our every need and was a wonderful hostess. The food was excellent, and it was a wonder day for us all!
